Showbiz couple plan to topple X Factor!

As a writer and journalist I have been following the careers of Graham Winston-Peters and his young wife Ivy Pink for a couple of years now. They have conquered every genre of the entertainment industry together, from movies to TV shows, from commercials to music videos, they've got it covered. The Daily Mail (and several other national newspapers) ran an article in August about their achievements, and noted that they have appeared on more than 50 TV shows!  These are remarkable figures and are made even more incredible in the short time frame that they have been achieved. Their filmography includes 'Flip Book''Eve's Demons''Jesse' and many other shorts and features.

Now the dynamic duo are planning to conquer the music industry as performers with the track 'Bring Back the Magic (Christmas Day)'. Graham had the idea to make a record long ago, and has been featured singing on 'A Place In The Sun' and 'Four Weddings' (in which he and Ivy were the winners of the series).

The couple wanted a Mel and Kim style Christmas video accompanying a song in the style of Shakin' Stevens. It was written in collaboration with songwriter’s Paul Trigwell, Dan Smith, Vikki Hill and producer Alex Lambie of Vanity Recordings. The resultant record has all the elements of a classic pop hit, with an instantly engaging tune and infectious lyrics. These magical ingredients are topped off by Graham's Elvis influenced lead vocal. The video is now available to view on YouTube.

The song is also available to purchase on Amazon, Itunes and various other online sites from December the 2nd, 2013. Graham tells me that the song will be launched in a blitz of publicity, with TV and Radio interviews, alongside a massive campaign on Facebook and in the national newspapers.

Graham and Ivy have a strong philanthropic streak, and after hearing about the terrible disaster in the Philippines, they  wanted to donate a percentage of their royalties to the the Philippine Typhoon Relief fund. They hope the record will be a number one hit this Christmas. Graham said “We wanted to give something back after a very successful and prosperous year, and wish to help a lot of unfortunate people in their hour of need”.
